 Elsie`s Poetry

WHO`S SORRY NOW?

WHO`S SORRY NOW?

Where happiness was once on his face
Sadness now resides in its place,
Pain and heartache he finds hard to bear
With a heart containing only despair.

For a wrong decision he must pay
I knew he would live to rue the day,
But he wouldn`t listen he`s head strong
Now he knows who was right and wrong.

I watch from a distance this unfold
He is someone that won`t be told,
There`s a price to pay for all we do
He didn`t stop and think things through.

He rushed headlong into pastures new
And through this his chances he blew,
You can`t tell him `cause he doesn`t hear
Now his worst nightmare is his fear.

He`ll have plenty of time for regret
That wrong decision he`ll never forget,
The hands of time he can`t turn back
Nor the love of this life will he get back.

From the ashes they both must rise
To keep it amicable would be wise,
The future`s ahead and not behind
Now happiness I hope they both find.
