My beating heart
From my beating heart I cannot hide,
It sees my false smile from inside,
It knows when I am telling lies,
It's listening now, so best be quiet.
From my beating heart there's no escape,
I can't pretend, nor can I fake,
It knows my loves, it know my hates,
It's on the job before I wake.
From my beating heart there's no relief,
No masquerade, no way to cheat,
No make-believe, no self-deceit,
It's on the square, with every beat.
