The Long and Winding Road

Somewhere within my memory is a long and winding road.
It is something that has remained a part of me from the first day I traveled it.
The longing of experiencing it again has surfaced within my mind.
There are the trees all along the way that are forever green.
The sky is always so blue and special to see.
A time of contemplation is within my heart for the good times to return.
The call of the wild is heard from amid the other sounds I am hearing.
The wolf's cry is heard as he bays at the moon.
Yes, there are captivating things that occur on the long and winding road.
A precious time is thus remembered and cherished for it was with my parents I was with at the time.
My parents have since passed away and there is no more traveling for me to do.
I am bound to remain in one place so remembering the long and winding road is an extra special happening for me.
