Mine Shaft
Sun was shining and the
weather was fine
Woods were alive with
spring and abloom
But darkness ruled in the
old coal mine
Every tunnel and shaft
filled with gloom
One such deep shaft had a
camouflaged opening
Hidden by the bushes it
lay there waiting
Waiting for some unawares
wanderer to tumble in
To lie amongst the bones of
the previous victims
weather was fine
Woods were alive with
spring and abloom
But darkness ruled in the
old coal mine
Every tunnel and shaft
filled with gloom
One such deep shaft had a
camouflaged opening
Hidden by the bushes it
lay there waiting
Waiting for some unawares
wanderer to tumble in
To lie amongst the bones of
the previous victims
