 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

Will you sleep
beneath the stars
with me and wish upon
Love, watching the indigo
sky until morning
whispering dreams in
the hush of night
so that only we
and nocturnal
creatures hear?

Will you love me
'til the moon creeps
full across the horizon
lighting up our bodies
in a wash of pale
caresses, whilst
the trees rustle
softly and the
night birds
sing only
for us?

Will you join me
lay upon warm blankets
wrap your arms around
me from behind and
breathe me in as
slumber calls us
into dreams that
could not be more
fulfilling than
our reality?

Will you love me
in this moment as
this is truly all that
we have, and will you
hold me in your heart
until the brightness
of the sunrise comes
to take away our
quiet, shadowed

May I love you?
Dare I ask?
