Don't Pass Up the Opportunity of Serving Jesus

If anyone has a word of wisdom from experience it is myself.
Not boastful or boasting do I offer this to you.
I humbly offer it as a word of warning.
Years ago I was able to do solos for the Lord; in our church.
I got out of fellowship with the Lord and said I had done my last solo.
Little did I know it was prophetic of what I had said was to come to pass.
I was guilty of passing up the opportunity of serving Jesus.
A preacher had asked me to do another solo for the message was his to deliver that evening.
I was able to do the solo as was planned.
But that was all I was asked to do for  a good long time.
It took my being in a nursing home to be invited to sing again which I accepted.
Now I sing all the time but it is secular music though I offer it to praise His name.
I hope I am not perverse for doing so but I am not ashamed of singing from the hymnals.
I understand that whatever you do to do it for the glory of God.
I am attempting to do the singing for the Lord and to offer Him the praise.
This is my opportunity of singing that I hope the Lord will accept.
