God is our refuge and strength,
Persevering at any length;
He is an ever-present aid,
Keeping me from being afraid.
So that is why I have no fear,
Because I know that God is near;
Not even during an earthquake,
That others would shiver and shake.
Even if mountains would tumble,
I am still remaining humble;
As they topple into the sea,
Surging waves as the waters flee.
There is a river that brings joy,
Flowing streams running to deploy;
Into the city of the Lord,
The sanctum where God is adored.
God is there and cannot fall,
Since a righteous man made a call;
God will help at the break of dawn,
When the dark of night has been gone.
Some nations are in turmoil,
As its citizens will toil;
The earth melts in hearing the sound,
From the voice of God so abound.
The Lord of Armies is with us,
For He is a stronghold as thus;
So come see the works of the Lord,
Never letting it be ignored.
The devastation of the earth,
Allowing to have a new birth;
He puts an end to all the wars,
That have occurred on all the shores.
Let go of all of your concern,
While watching the old earth burn;
Then you will know that He is God,
The one Lord to honor and laud.
