I survived

I survived,
Your careless disregard for me,
I survived,
Your eyes meeting mine
I survived,
the removal of my clothing,
I survived,
The way you removed your own
I survived
The word no
I survived
You continuing on anyway
I survived
You getting stronger when I tried to push you away
I survived
The brightness of the light
I survived the minutes that were never ending
I survived
Your sick smile
I survived
You raping me
I survived
The scalding hot water after you left
I survived
Barely intact
I survived
Hating myself
But I refuse to take anymore blame.
You betrayed my trust
you destroyed my safe world
And made me question everything.
You created a hurricane.
All the showers in the world could not have made me clean.
To steal is a violation
What you took can not be replaced,
but I will look you in the eye
Even if my legs tremble.
I am stronger then the young girl you destroyed

I am not a survivor,
I am not a victim,
For the first time in my life
I am simply me.
