I was
Born
Miracle
Doctor was drunk
Womb gave up 7 pints of blood
For that incompetence
Transfusion of same gave restoration
We both
Lived
Thought death would come
At fifty-one
The age she died
For decades cried
When the good in life lied
All the painful ride
I prayed to hide
In mama's lap
Take a nap
When living stayed
This life thing played on
Five more years
Then came the fears
Of dying the age my father did
That age went by still feel the kid
It's a whole new world
For some reason
It's knowing soon
Will come the Spring season
The longer days of pure
Sunlight
Will keep this girl
Fighting the fight
Breathing deep
On high hills planted green
Where rarely there are people seen
There God exists in natures form
To keep the souls of ladies warm
When cold it comes
Hope grows numb
Through faith learned
In these five dozen years
When mind keeps listening to the fears
Wind whips same speed limit as Highway 11
Think not good enough for heaven
Then think again
Because my best friend
Saves me forever
Beginning End Eternity
Free with thee to adorn
I am a little girl
My great Father rules my world
With perfect love
White light above
The darkness here
Nothing to fear
It's God's will
Yield to the force feel
That believing brings on
Write a poem
Or a song
Kiss a dog
Stroke the strings
Of the music this life brings
Because for some reason
This thing called life
Brings pain and strife
Then comfort and ease
Health then disease
So one understands
The difference between the two
Nothing new
Since we left the garden
Father you pardoned all of us
If we only trust in more than this place
Thanks for your grace
O Holy on high
Look up to the sky and see
All that began
All that ends
