Deep space beyond a
few light years
Unknown territory a
source of fears
Who knows what exists
thereabouts
Nothing known the mind
is full of doubts
Apprehension festers
and flourishes
Imagination adds to it
and nourishes
This has been going on
for time unknown
Our terror for alien attacks
is very well known
