Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Burnt Bridges

Frozen out from my own true feelings
A wall so high I cannot breach
I burnt every bridge that led to a memory
Now the love I need is far out of reach…
I want to feel as I felt as a young man
Passion burning out of control
I want to love as every man should love
I want a love to make me feel whole…
A wilderness has now grown up around me
No one close enough to shatter my dreams
I learned to be lonely, but only on good days
The nights are still colder than ever they've been.
