Im on the greyhound bus, and am thinking, about, my family, and my life
im thinking, about, all of my eight kids, there, mother, and now, my ex--wife

Now, my family, broken, and torn
to me, this is not, the norm

I always, believed, that through it all, good, bad, and ugly, that family, should stand all together
to endure, rain orshine, earthquake, orhail, any, and all incelent good or bad weather

To me, for any, and all marriages that come, to divorce, and end
what kind of a message, to both sides of the families, and mostly to the children, do both parents send

Who is right, who is wrong
when, husband  and wife,no longer, care about each other, and no more, does, love, honor, and respect , faithfully, belong

Some, professionals, will say, oh the children, oh the children, they will bounce back right away
but i know, it isso much deeper, than that, and a heavy price to pay

I dont believe, that the kids, or both, family sides, ever bounce back
They choose a side, and go on the defensive, and attack

After, the. Divorce, all sides, of the family, and the kids, become, permantely, broken
once a united family, now, divorced, both sides, and the kids, together, very few words are spoken

I am on the greyhound bus, thinking about my family, and my life
i am thinking, about my children, both sides of the family, and my ex--wife

If there are no children involved, and a married couple, decides to call it quits
pretty much, its over, they go there separete ways, and that is it

But if there are children, of one or two, or eight
the brokeness, of the bond of family, is devastating, and profoundly, sadly, great
