She never had the chance
To say goodbye
On his death bed all he did was nod
Wounded from knives and guns
Her heart bled internally
The love of her life her bundle from heaven was laying
In a coma, eyes are closed and breathing
Heavier as each day went by
He was there as long as it took Lord
To create the heavens
He inspired millions of people
Got labeled what he was not
He was from a dark place
He freed himself from poverty and helped
Many others do the same thing
His heart as pure as a precious snowflake
His music spoke on levels that have relevance even now
His poetry was beautiful and you see a softer side than his rap
She was there next to him
He took his final breath, but his legacy will never die
Or the love from those who understand him
He never got to make the beautiful kids he always wanted to
We lost a great public speaker and inspiration
I had to become the poet i wanted to
The activist in me was from his legacy and words
It wasn't just my dad i looked up to
