Oh we British love to comp;ain

About politics and such

But if they don't bother to vote

They just can't care very much.

And if they don't use that right

Then get sat on from on high

Serves  them blooming right for

Letting that rare chance roll by.

For many people fought

And many people died

To give us the right

To help decide.

If you're one of those

Who voted for the far right

Tough luck baby

You voted for it

And if you're one of those

Who didn't bother to turn out

Then tough luck again,

You've lost the right to shout.

Now fascist rule with just

A vote of twenty three percent

And our political nous

Just upped and went.

I can't understand

How so many were fooled,

This is how the Tories

Have always ruled.

It's no good just whinging

That life's a bitch

 Dodgy Dave and Grinning Gideon

Just task the poor to help the rich

And they'll take away

Our hard earned rights if

We don't soon stand and fight.

In this  land of Magna Carta,

Land of the Welfare State,

Where the family jewels are

In pawn to the Tory's mates.

Oh  we British love to complain

About politics and such

But if they don't bother to vote

They just can't care very much.
