Poetic-Verses

'' We'll Portray It As Fiction ''

Look at the news,
It does not amuse,
More and more people being killed,
Theft and corruption is what they choose,
That's what the editors have willed.

The reader then begs,
Feed us the dregs,
We love to digest a good story,
Especially when they add arms and legs,
We revel in horror and glory.

Printing the truth,
Is so uncouth,
It just makes our readers grieve,
Standing there in the witness booth,
Our facts they'll refuse to believe.

Telling lies,
Only some despise,
Though we know it leaves victims bleeding,
It's only the truth in a different guise,
It also makes better reading.

I don't mean to be rude,
But reporting what's good,
Means our readership will only go down,
To gain even more we need to be crude,
People laugh at the tears of the clown.

Never print facts,
It's substance this lacks,
Showing compassion will only cause friction,
Cause a scandal and the reader reacts,
If it's true,
