I think of my heroes, I love them all
I'll walk beside them when Ireland call
I'm an Irish child with Irish pride
I love my country, I have nothing to hide
I remember eighty one
Some Irish mothers son
They took you from life
You handled your strife
You died for freedom
Your struggle is over
I'm just a child of Ireland
I want my Irish land
I'm a lot like you
They tried to hide you from me
I've met you now my friend
I'll be with you till the end
