TWICE A DAY
TWICE A DAY
The `phone rings and you feel the dread
You know the fear`s all in your head,
You do hate this time of the day
Will these thoughts ever go away?
It`s late afternoon that you hate
When the phone rings you deflate,
You get cold shivers down your spine
Waiting to hear who`s on the line.
Then at night when you are in bed
You can`t sleep so you think instead,
Night is the time you abhor too
Your mind races and you feel blue.
We don`t all sleep during the night
How it hurt to find you were right,
Secrets can`t be kept for long
How you wish you had been wrong.
