Life is a leisurely progress

So perhaps at its end

The slow disintegration of

A burial Is a kinder friend

Than the pyrrhic destruction

Of the controlled body burn

With the resultant ashes stored

In their commemorative urn

Or scattered on the ground

To blow and swirl around.
