 The Pulse
Contrary to definition
A mad man's role with senseless vision
Snuffed out lives without a tear
Leaving carnage and earthly fears

He came to hate and played his part
A killing spree that stopped the heart
Of our country and souls that were
At gunpoint range by man disturbed

His faith took on the dark side role
To tear into each breath he stole
Without mercy, slaughter began
Leaving a trail of lives he damned

And in the wake of bullets sprayed
The pulse of life stopped on his prey
The aftermath, forty nine the toll
Another forty three keep hold
Of breath still drawn, clinging on to
Life, loved ones, and those they knew

Their pulse beats on for in the hearts
Live on the souls that were once part
Of lives that mattered as all life does
Upon this earth GOD gave and loves

In memory of those who lost their lives and those wounded at the Pulse dance club Orlando Florida
