STEP OUT OF THE BOAT

STEP OUT OF THE BOAT

At times, you were in the distance, yet I could feel you there
When the wind would touch my face as your gentle token
Tender reminders of your creations surrounded me everywhere
When in my mother's womb, you were there

It wasn't like any walk I'd ever taken, or imagined before
Things just suddenly became uneven and broken
Some steps were too wide, some too small, some - - a real chore
But you were always there with me, as you'd always been before

I closed my eyes on some of the longest, most difficult days
A chill of emptiness would fight to invade my being
But then, I would smile and touch you through the darkest maze
Because no matter the path, you, too, had my longest days

Before me, the planks of life stretched out in colors of calmness
I could hear a whisper "step out of the boat" it is I, you are seeing
Thank you, heavenly Father; you unraveled me with your faithfulness
You've given me an inner path; I walk in colors of calmness

In you, I find the wind that whispers thru my sails
If you are with me, then who or what can be against me
I am not a slave to fear when the evil one rants and rails
Because it's you who holds tomorrow as each day unveils

The line below taken from a song, NO LONGER SLAVES
Music on  my HomePage……

From my mother's womb, you had chosen me --- I am a child of GOD!!
