Pain in my neck and right shoulder
oh we come to expect, all the growing aches and pains, as we get OLDER
So my mission
is to not take a pain pill, today of NONE
I know from all my nursing years
how extreme aches and pains, can bring another to unbearable pain and tears
Its not hard, to grow dependant, on a pain pill
to knock out this constant pain, take it away and kill
For me at least i know, that my work is over and done
but if i HAD, to go to work today, i wouldnt be able to function, and be on the move and run
Pain restricts your movement,
it makes you angry, dissappointed, feeling resent
But for me now, the hollistic approach, drink more fluids, get my rest
and improvise, adapt, and overcome this pain, and naturally do my best
Its so easy to grab a motrin, anti- inflamatory pain med
but to become dependant on any medicines again, is what i dread
So for me id rather take this pain
than to take any medicine the same
This neck, right shoulder and right arm pain, is my greatest set back, with my missin, in mind
it has put on me great stress , this pain, im fighting with, it has me in a bind
So im trying to preservere
as my 200th day of this! Weight LOSS-- mission nears
I cannot stop, pause, falter or fall
my progress has stalled , i feel im against the wall
so my ten pound weight, i started this morning to lift
and hopefully, this pain will go away and shift
I may need a massage, to relieve this tightness and pain
but for now im soon heading to the gym, to jaccuzzi, and swim-- to do the same
Many who face the struggles of aches and PAIN
they are dealing with the use and abuse of pain medications the same
For forty years in my military, and nursing careers, i had to use pain medication, to make it through, many long, long, sixteen hour work days
and many times a motrin, pain pill, was the only help i had along the way
But now, i cant do it, not even one
and the pain is constant and overwhelming, leaving you bumed
Many people i know, live and deal, with constant aches and pain
and to survive and thrive, rely on a pain pill, as me the same
The prolonged use of any medication will do us in
in the short run, we loose the discomfort aches and pains, but in the LONG, run as with me, my kidney function is low, and impaired, and in the LONG run we dont WIN
So the HOLLISTIC, approach., we need to embrace
and naturally, HOLLISTCALLY, get back up, and back in this LIFE, LIVING, and LOVE, RACE
