God’s Making The Stew
God's Making The Stew
You have prayed for them, given them the word
They seem to pay attention you know they heard
Even others around have poured into them
Their mouth speak confession but their lives speak sin
You see the call; God has revealed a great plan
They have everything to move but are stuck in quick sand
Think about the patriarchs and what they went through
They had a calling and an anointing too
Father Abraham had a promise straight from God
Yet he still went through the many obstacles that were odd
Joseph had dreams that confirmed his call
But prison wasn't part of those dreams at all
Moses spoke to God face to face
But he wasn't always prepared for what took place
David was called to be king, even anointed with oil
But the reception he received would make your blood boil
Even in our own lives we can see it was true
While we made mistakes, God was making stew
We had preachers and pastors pouring into us
Parents and grandparents all making a fuss
Aunts and uncles giving Godly advice
Different ones teaching us down through life
Each one adding the ingredients into the pot
But stew is not stew until the water gets hot
When the heat is on that water starts to boil
That advice and those prayers begin to toil
The fruit of the spirit softens under the lid
And the aroma of the seasonings are no longer hid
As it all marinates in the blood of the Savior
They rise unto heaven as a sweet smelling savor
That's when it's ready; when tried by the fire
That's when the flavor reaches God's desire
It's never done quickly; greatness takes time
God's making the stew, so it's going to be fine
Never wearing in well doing, harvest those crops
Keep piling those ingredients into those pots
God is making stew; He has the temperature controlled
Bring the harvest to His kitchen and let them go
