You were like family 
Loving me unconditionally
Than it happened
In a split second my friend
You were taken away
As we walked in the sunshine
You heard a woman's voice
From the otherside
Wanting attention from the stranger
You ran into the street
But you never made it
 Across that busy road
For at that moment
You were struck and passed away
I am grateful
That you did not suffer
My little dog is now at RAINBOW BRIDGE
Where you have been made whole again
Running and playing with other pets
Missing Me as I miss you
I know someday we will be
Together again






This poem is dedicated to the young woman who lost her dog in an tragic accident yesterday
The woman's voice he heard was mine
