'' We Humans Are Mad ''
By refusing to accept,
Our planet is dying,
We are so inept,
We continue our lying.
A species so blind,
We refuse to see,
That being unrefined,
Means we'll never be free.
Our corruption and greed,
Can only smother,
The fact that we need,
Both sister and brother.
We claim to be equal,
Yet there is an elite,
Every day there's a sequel,
Where we bow at their feet,
The word extinction,
Is under attack,
Make no distinction,
The extinct don't come back.
Short term vision,
Is a dangerous game,
We should treat with derision,
This fortune and fame.
Our offspring's survival,
Is dependent on us,
Yet we act as their rival,
Refusing to discuss.
Resources are dwindling,
They're running out fast,
It's their future we're swindling,
We are the past.
To destroy what sustains,
Is both evil and sad,
But the fact remains,
' We Humans Are Mad '
