'' For Being Alive ''
We start our life,
No knowledge of strife,
As we grow it's what we will learn,
Allow it to fester it will cut like a knife,
Contentment is what you must yearn.
Finding despair,
You may find unfair,
But it's a part of everyday living,
Stand up and fight and show that you care,
To wrongdoing please be forgiving.
That wrong done to you,
May well cause ado,
But don't let it show you are weak,
Remain tall and proud, see your task through,
Show them you are truly unique.
Our ideals are taught,
They cannot be bought,
In the end what you do is your choice,
Wrong decisions will leave you distraught,
Remember the power of voice.
Don't be persuaded,
Lest you be degraded,
Conscience is a wonderful gift,
It reminds you not to be left unaided,
If used right it can give you a lift.
When things seem bad,
Don't ever get mad,
Show spirit and you will survive,
Do what's right and you will feel glad,
Be grateful,
