Jesus Christ is the same, Yesterday and today; Forever to proclaim, As to trust and obey. Get not carried away, By those things that are taught; Unfamiliar to stray, From the truth that is sought. So gaining inner strength, With the kindness of God; To persevere the length, When you honor and laud. Our strength will not come, On the rules about food; Rather it will come from, A sacred attitude. The chief priest brought the blood, Into the holy place; As it flows like a flood, And ask God for His grace. The body of the beast, Was being burned outside; For their sin not a feast, As remorse to abide. That is why Christ suffered, Outside the city gates; That the people offered, Payment as it translates. So we must go outside, Where the insults will pour; Continue to abide, And proceed to endure. No permanent city, Presently here on earth; That would be as pretty, Or having as much worth. But Christ was sacrificed, To build a foundation; And that we are enticed, Bring us salvation.
