Be Aware Politician
At some stage some of part of the mind become transfixed
Somehow amazed and stunned by this topic called politics
Some may stick to a tradition being from a generation that supported one side
So there is no room for any type of alternative thinking to reside
Then those in the arena they will pounce immediately on any situation
To capitalize in any way on any issue that will touch a friable emotion
And will take this opportunity and will certainly not be remiss
To ensure that they are very liberal in dispensing those promises
It can be seen there is such energy and also there is that bit of rancor
Based on some of the attacks made as there is that thrust for the jugular
Ensure that their voices as heard even to point of be stentorian
Making a mountain of every bit of trivia that is making the round
At the moment we are in what appears to be a very big race
It is quite startling the amount of pettiness that is taking place
And whatever it taking place both at home and abroad
It seems as though on the incumbent's shoulders is place the load
One candidate who seem to be omniscient, talkative and has the gall
As he raises his right hand to tell his listeners that the solution is to build a wall
Attacking others to the delight of supporters, seeming so very jingoistic
But deep down inside I believe that many believe this is not realistic
How often we can see people so obsess with something called winning
That they never stop to think that ins some cases they harm they are doing
Destroying the opposition apparently showing no type of remorse
Now some are very reluctant to lend the support to help navigate the course
There is always a query around people who tend to use the first person
Always very difficult to get them to listen or in any form of collaboration
Because in their mind theirs and only theirs is the only workable solution
That has the answer that will solve any type of confronting situation
But in a time when there are some much going on that needs attention
It would be wise to offer advice and make some informative and take some decisive action
The time for chatter and making those sugar coated promises has now gone by
So take the electorate serious as the younger voters would mark you hard when your lie
