Rainbow Boxes
To Grace Marie on her 24th birthday today 15/8/16 Happy birthday baby love always Nannie and Star xxx
Was that a knock upon the door
Telling you you`re twenty-four
Can`t believe how time has flown
And Gracie you are fully grown
Yesterday you were eighteen
Swaying to and happy tune
The day before you went to high
And primary near made you cry
Baby minders were your lot
When you were a tiny tot
Toothless smile and bright blue eyes
I still hear your baby cries
Now today you are a Mum
Have a daughter and a son
How did that happen quite so fast
Hope you made each moment last
A rainbow box wrapped up in gold
Will keep your memories of old
And now and then when needed... you
Will take a little peek or two
Save those moments wrapped in silk
Loving...laughing all that ilk
Watch your babies grow so tall
And in that box you save them all
Have a happy day today
Another page to put away
The rainbow box will overflow
But my darling girl just know
There will always be more room
To add another happy tune
To tell another tale of gold
For rainbow boxes don`t grow old
Save today each moment too
And don`t forget that I love you
