Poetic Verses
Where the Lost Forever Dwell
The preacher asked his converts why
They want no part of hell
Stating it is but a dreadful place
Where the lost forever dwell.
Some talked about their loved ones
Who had passed on years before
And how they long to see them there
On Heaven's golden shore.
A couple cited fear of God
As incentive to live right
And avoid the never-ending flame
Of hell's eternal night.
Still others claimed a heavenly home
An abode for them reserved
A marvelous inheritance
By grace, though undeserved.
A few said closeness to the Lord
To be among the saved
And walk with martyrs of the faith
Where streets with gold are paved.
Then, after all who would had shared
The preacher was led to say
That hell is but a dreadful place
For those who disobey.
They want no part of hell
Stating it is but a dreadful place
Where the lost forever dwell.
Some talked about their loved ones
Who had passed on years before
And how they long to see them there
On Heaven's golden shore.
A couple cited fear of God
