So Grateful I'm irish

So Grateful I Am Irish             August 28, 2016

I'm so grateful I am Irish, you can find is everywhere

We've been punished for our country and I mean everywhere

Murdered in the dark of night, human rights denied

Children of Ireland taken, many families died

The damage to our country we rise above, irrespective how they tried

Ireland will be free, we will have our day

The message to the free world is we are here to stay

Freedom is our right, we're Irish proud and strong

From every country in the world we watch, England you are so wrong

We have global friends in places

We're Irish with many faces

We'll pick you up if you fall

We're Irish proud and will answer the call

I want to walk my streets with my irish flag in hand

I don't want punishment anymore, I want freedom in my land

Our homeland has been invaded, no peace without freedom is our call

From every corner of the world we want Ireland free

No more division, no more them and me

We'll walk our streets in Ireland, we'll be army free

No more dirty tricks in my country, united we will be

Go home to your own land now, we want to live in peace

Thirty two free provinces, God bless the ones deceased

I'm so grateful I am Irish, you can find is everywhere

We've been punished for our country and I mean everywhere
