As i awake, im movin, somber and --SLOW
as i know, im taking it easy, as my injured arm, and elbow is healing--SO
So im resting better i will have to--SAY
i know, i dont feel as weary, exhausted, and in pain as i felt, a week ago--TODAY
Folks deal with painful joints, and problems more and more with--AGE
getting older, your body, is at an end--STAGE
I remember as a young-- MARINE
how when i use to jump out of the duce- and -a--half -truck, i would fly out of the back, and clear the tail gate, like a- jump high and --CLEAN
One of the older MARINES, he said to me, JUNGERS, one day, your knees, are going to PAY, the --PRICE
but when your young, and in the GREATEST, shape of your LIFE, you just dont think of hurt, harm, and danger, even --TWICE
I use to wake up, and hit the ground, --RUNNING
i use to be, clear, loud, and --SINGING
Now, i wake up somber--gentle and--SLOW
and just take it steady, and EASY, as she--GOES
I keep, HUMMING,--ALONG
slow, easy, and sure, is now, my strength, stamina, and endurance--SONG
But i know exactly where i stand at this moment in--TIME
and with my mission in my heart and-- MIND
I know where i am going to BE
i -know -even- as -this -moment, -as -im- starting, -somber- and -slow, -just -EASILY--but sure-- humming along, i know my vision, my mission, and my quest to be better- than -my -best-, i -know- in -myself- the- greatness -that- i -EXPECT, -----GOD, WILLING, ----i know, MY, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y
