In the middle of a blackout in a hotel
I answered a call to check out why..
As it was only in this hotel it seemed
Somebody caused a short in the supply..
I took the keys to hotel rooms in case
And Made my way room to room to see..
Asking those that had booked the rooms
Going into others to find what could be..
One booked but no answer to the door
Opened it and with torch I looked around..
And in the window moonlight I saw a shape
Of a beautiful woman there to be found..
She'd been in the shower when lights out
She gasped and said so very softly then..
Are you from the hotel here to fix it
Looking for a towel to wrap around when..
I said yes there's a short somewhere I guess
Finding the towel and coming closer to me..
And bending to find clothes she dropped it
The most beautiful sight was there to see..
I noticed a lamp had as well fallen down
It triggered the safety switch on that floor..
She made her way in the dark to get clothes
Walking into me we'd fallen laughter galore..
I told her what had happened to the lamp
As we lay there in an as if a tangled pile..
Looking at me she said well well not all is bad
Holding me closer giving me a welcomed smile..
An hour later I went to turn on that switch
With a memory I shall never ever forget..
Fixed that lights out woe that was that night
And the hotel asked me how come your so wet..
