Run Weightless
Run Weightless
Have you received the commission, are you ready to run?
Visit the book of Hebrew chapter 12, and verse one
Lay aside those weights it says to you and me
Lets examine what some of those weights can be
Most would say sin and in a sense their right
But what about those things that are not black and white
You know that gray area that most of us live in
Where the bible doesn't name that thing as sin
Paul says to lay aside the sin and the weight
For the sins that are named there is no debate
But what about those things that are not so clear
Take a closer look at what Paul is saying here
Those thing that we do that we should not do
Not because the bible specifically says not to
But is the areas where wisdom calls
We can choose to slow down or choose to fall
Where much freedom and much responsibility
Collide to decide what's best for me
And what I can do is not what I should
Because not all things are profitable for my good
That drink, that smoke, that hit, that toke
That burger, those fries, those rings, or that coke
Maybe those words I have a right to say
They will serve no purpose if spoken that day
When asking the question” what would Jesus do”
Since he would use wisdom, we should do that too
It's those gray areas that are like weights to us
Like running up hill while pulling a bus
So we have to use wisdom before giving the nod
And if any lacks wisdom, let them ask of God
He gives liberally and without reproach
Allow the holy spirit to be your coach
He trains you to run, and trains you to win
Be it's up to us to lay aside the weights and sin
Wisdom cries out and raises her voice
And God gives the strength to make the right choice
So run with wisdom the course set before
Let patience and obedience help you endure
