Encouraging Words Spoken In A Mirror

To face this world each day.
Put on a smile, a mask in place for the day.
In the mirror each morning, words of encouragement spoken.
A rhythmic cycle, each day must never be broken.
Preparations made to go out in the world.
Fighting negative thoughts that in mind whirl.
Yes it is true I made it through the day before.
A singular fear that this day maybe something more.
Unseen tears, upon a porcelain sink.
Desperately avoiding thoughts of what others might think.
Telling myself, my opinion is the only one that has worth.
A continuous  battle that started at birth.
Slowly walking among strangers, even people known.
Still deep inside my anxiety is shown.
Praying that my mask will keep others at bay.
Words of encouragement in the mirror spoken each day.
