In mirrors reflection it's you I see

In the mirror I see your reflection looking back at me.
A younger version but still I see you in me.
I may not stand as tall, but some features are the same.
Similarities of you I can see, features that remain.
I notice some of my strengths, come from you.
So many small details I can notice in the mirror I view.
The same smile, the same wrinkles are there.
Just a small list of what I see there.
The shape of my face, same joy in life.
Same twinkle we both share in each other's eyes.
My hands maybe smaller, but both are strong.
Love in family that keeps us moving along.
We even share the same worries of our lost son's.
Same doubts in life, of decisions we had done.
Somethings in this life we may not get right.
Sometimes it's those choices that keep us up at night.
But know this, my love for you is forever there.
A bond between a father and son, is just knowing that each other cares.
Although miles may lay between us, unnoticed difference for sure.
Still father and son, with love that remains pure.
