Your Smile Lacks

your smile is
fiction
it flits across your face
like it had no place there

no conviction

like it was a tic
or an afterthought

I think you would've had more success
with an honest smirk
or the smudge of a look

I am not one to be mistook
or mistaken
as in
taken in
by your violin concerto
of faux grins

you might as well have been poked
by large pins

(was that look on your face
 the end result?)

your face lacks
a certain sincerity

it reads there with
perfection of clarity

your smile doth not
match the slant of your eyes

so I know
your words are true lies

yes
your slacking tweak of a smile
lacks.
