When the Sky turned Gray

I dedicated this poem to the family and the victims of that tragic day, let us not forget.

When the Sky turned Gray
Written by Adam M. Snow

I remember that day
the sky turned to gray,
a loss had taken place;
tears fell from our face.

People running,
panic reigning,
on that day
the sky turned gray.

Great inferno crashing down,
bodies falling on the ground.
Children crying,
our love ones dying;

Terror struck reigning fear,
two towers disappeared.
Seeing people breathing ashes,
on their body, many gashes.

I remember that day
the sky turned to gray.
And I, a kid off to school,
not knowing the reality, I was a fool.

But what I remember of that day,
was a nation standing unafraid.
A nation standing together united,
on a day by smoke benighted.

Fifteen years has passed yet still I remember,
of that fateful morning of September.
Still I remember of that day
when the sky turned to gray.
