Penniluck's legacy
Toodle Pip
To my dear friend of almost four decades Doris who is 69 today the 19/9/16 love always hugs Penni and Star xxx
Where did the time go my friend
We often discuss the fact
That yesterday we were so young
But there is no turning back
Yet we have fun in memories
Each and every day
And still hope for the future
As both of us will say
I beat you to the seventy
But it`s your turn next year
It does not hurt a lot my friend
But it can bring a tear
Sixty-nine sounds oh so young
But seventy next September
You can still have lots of fun
So lassie just remember
Age is just a number
Means nothing at all
Just an anniversary
Where you can have a ball
We have seen so many years
Sometimes full of laughter
Yes there were a lot of tears
But happy ever after
Remember Doris when you shat up
When you meant to sit down
We doubled up with painful joy
Then we went to town
Your dad brought us some lovely fish
We cooked it well together
Then we helped him off the chair
And sat and had a blether
What did Penni say he asked
With a cheeky little grin
As he knew that you would say
Not much... the same old thing
I could go on forever friend
Remembering the past
But I will just say a toodle pip
And help your birthday last
Have a happy day today
May all your dreams come true
Love you Doris always will
And you know that's true
