Memory Lane
I wandered back down memory lane
Did not want to come back again
For in that lane we both were young
Full of laughter, full of fun
I remember the day Jim brought you home
From then to now never alone
You loved each other from the start
And way back then gave him your heart
Stupid cupid you sang out clear
I still hear it in my ear
To Boney Maloney Jim would swing
I so loved to hear him sing
Wedding bells two lovely lads
Good looking kids like Mum and Dad
Then you all went far away
And Australia`s where you stay
You had a bonnie... bonnie lass
She has grown up so first class
Now you have grandchildren too
Goodness me what time did do
Maybe Memory Lane is fine
To wander down and visit time
But moving on-wards gave you life
A loving husband, family, wife
Seventy is the new fifty you know
So there`s still time for you to grow
Sing and dance the night away
This is a very special day
Thanks for joining me in Memory Lane
Sometime we`ll go back again
Spend a while just being young
But today you just have fun
Happy birthday many more
I imagine on that shore
As night creeps in and morning here
You will enjoy this brand new year
