Just taking each one and every day
As they come , come what may..
The sun comes up then goes away
As some they work and others play..
Knowing way too well most of the time
Good luck and fate not worth a dime..
Endless wasting life on prayer divine
Getting older all the while not a crime..
Singing old songs in order to remind
Of memories in them one could find..
The future seems as if dreams are blind
Each day caught within realities bind..
The powers that be continue not a care
The poorer get poorer still everywhere..
Thankful yet for water oxygen in the air
Keeping them alive but often life is not fair..
As the planet dies a little more each day
Some doing what they can others pray..
Waiting for miracles fantasy so many play
The surviving poor more brains dare I say..
Earths worse sins created by powers that be
Their very own lies will never set them free..
Nature will one day have all under the sea
One day at a time sounding way better to me..
