Hurtling through His Divine Energy…
As dust swept by the wind
As a cloak wrapped, yet unpinned
It's Maya on the line…Can I have another spin?
Being a slave to her call, I predictably rush right in
Yet again and again…and again and again!
Simply toiling with no win
Setting my sights on dead ends
Another broken promise, another heart wrench
Suffering so much, yet addicted to sin
Lord have Mercy I cried!
Tears rushed to my eyes
I called for help in the dark
Petitioning a contrast so stark
A light source by which to embark
There wasn't an answer right away
But…Krishna's plan was unfolding in His loving way
His mercy is great in this age of Kali
This age of darkness
This age of folly
My faith was weak…I was at wits end
I was desperate, confused and in great need
It was then and only then…when Krishna answered my plea
He kindly sent His dear devotee to come rescue me
As the sun penetrates a dreary day
As flowers unveil beauty wherever they stay
As heroes rescue the weak, downtrodden and in pain
Krishna sent this wretch a firm rock for shelter
A mountain of humility, compassion and valor
A devotee with principles that can't be moved
A saintly person with qualities emanating a hue
Of sweet light resembling moonshine to make me whole
The greatest gift of Prema electrifying my soul
In the end, you are my mend
For troubles that rend, you are the end
For this stray soul, you've come to tend
For this dark night, you've come to end
For sailing back home, you are my wind
And it's all been resolved…
By bringing me Krishna's wide, loving grin
Attracting our hearts….to repose our love in Him
