Hope Grimes So Slowly

Stagnation builds upon man's ancient rust
Hope grimes so slowly...
Waiting faces turn into dust
I said to myself we shall see the sun tomorrow
But reality leaps upon the hearts
Of burden souls
hungover with sadness and sorrows
Caring eyes has shown her love so poorly
The tender tears,
The poor can't afford to borrow
I'll throw down that fool called Pride if I must,
I've carried her for years
The human condition has gotten so lowly
The things we struggle to change
Seem to stick by our side
Because differentiated views
would never allow us to see
My expression I can no longer hide
How could the things that are, be?
