Things and feelings never told of in family
Secret feelings some feel silently as they do..
About in this case a younger family member
Who was born after the good times they knew..
Everything had been going before their own way
Before this younger one born had come along..
Seemed this one was born from both his parents
This being had as if rewritten their perfect song..
Nothing according to them that this last one did
Was ever to their liking so it always to be seemed..
They had despite all happening within in this family
Had gotten the best of all they'd ever dreamed..
But this latest one being so much like his father
And his father never split his values and integrity..
Before he was born they could bargain with both
Now the leaves had as if fallen from the money tree..
How they all now objected to this latest one born
Always having thought they only mattered so..
Seeing this latest as not having their air and graces
And as it was every chance they always let him know..
The latest one's brother was actually his half brother
Fathered by an uncle in this family a hidden truth as well..
Along with other skeletons over time they had in their lives
The all had their own secret stories not ever thus to tell..
It was he had due to things happened within this family
He'd missed out upon much of his schooling then as well..
But he'd started working early in life as it was then to be
Doing a mans work at sixteen and did it well as many tell..
Like his father he was never afraid of hard work in life
He'd always worked hard and making good money too..
But he was never made welcome ever in their grand homes
Hiding untold secrets that only they ever in life ever knew..
He was one that never backed down from any truth at all
Being theirs or anyone else's in life as it was in his life..
And they had perfected such very selective memories
They'd put safely away and often blaming him for any strife..
He had integrity and values within second to none in life
He'd never in life ever committed a crime of any kind..
They never liked him at all as regards to their pretending
As he was never backwards at all about speaking his mind..
He had courage and stamina and inner strength as well
His first thoughts were never in life of money or gain..
If he could ever help another one in his life's travels
He'd give his own shirt as his father would sunshine or rain..
The stories they'd told about him to match their own ego's
Always playing their important ways of being for all to see..
But the one thing they could never ever change in their lives
Was one can lie to any but not to one's self in all of honesty..
Karma had visited them all many times over time it's true
In life something one cannot escape no matter how you try..
And his reward was as it came to be for him within his life
Was his reward obtaining being all that money can never buy..
