Poetic-Verses

'' It's Paid For By You ''

I'm lying here,
Feeling the fear,
They're all saying my life is sunny,
Without them I know I would disappear,
Ultimately they give me their money.

Who are they,
I hear you say,
Those people who've put me where I am,
Though a contradiction I want them away,
For them I don't give a damn.

I am the elite,
They bow at my feet,
Occasionally I'll give them my time,
But them in truth I do hate to meet,
That side of it I class as a crime.

Autographs to sign,
I do tend to whine,
My paymasters I find such a bore,
Shaking hands is crossing the line,
Putting on a face I do find a chore.

I wish they would see,
They're lower than me,
In my presence they should know their place,
Though I know that most won't agree,
I wouldn't say that to their face.

I'm among the best,
They're down there with the rest,
Though required they need to be aware,
Them or me when put to the test,
For them I don't really care.

My life of leisure,
My vault of treasure,
All that which you've helped me accrue,
Is solely for my personal pleasure,
Yes,
