Im here, in NASHVILLE, and i just saw DIRKS--BENTLY
he was in front of the CMA awards building, and gave a concert in the park, and it was FREE
It was pretty cool, and he sang a few songs
he was exhausted and -JUST- arrived from a concert in Orlando, and sang his new single, and said it was too early for him and he hit some of the high notes A--little--LOW--and--OFF----key--and--WRONG
He -said -they- just -got, -in -this --EARLY --AM
but it was still pretty nice if him, to give a little free concert,in the park --THEN
Some people with signs were there in line from the --early -midnight -hour,-- right up --FRONT
they --wanted --to --be --on --television,-- as --THE--good --morning --AMERICA --crew --was --filming --this --concert-- and-- FREE-STUNT
It was neat, to see people, from all over cheering and holding up signs and excited to be on --TV
i --was-- WAY--in --the --BACK--just ---SMILING--, and --TAKING-- it --all --in, --so --i --dont-- think --you-- -will- -----SEE--ME
Yesterday i was on a huge ranch farm, for a private concert with,-- Chase -Rice
he -is --NEW-COUNTRY- -and -is -a -SONG- WRITER,- and -he -wrote- a -number -one -song,- and -on -the--HIT- charts -it -belonged,- HE-GOT- a --DIAMOND-- AWARD-- and -he -said -finally- he -just- bought- a-FARM- of -his -OWN-in -south -tennessee,- that -he -could -afford,- he -really- is -kinda -young -and -his -songs -i -think ---for -young -girls -is -kinda --SEXY--and --FUN--but -to -me -i -thought- was -okay -and --NICE
He pulled up into the drive way, of-- the-- FARM-HOSE-pretty -cool-and-AMAZING--that--was--remodeled--converted--and--beautifully--recreated from an--OLD--RANCH--BARN
backed --up --his --Big--jacked--up--CHEVROLET-TRUCK-- took --his --GUItAR-- Out- --and --SANG-- his --SONGS--to --the ---ALL--of--the--GIRLS----CHARM
There ---were ---only--- about--- twenty--- people--- at ---this ---private ---CONCERT----in--ALL
most---- young---- GIRLS---- THRILLED---- and ----EXCITED---- and---- sitting ----on ----hay ----bails, ----ready---- to ----pass----out----and----FAINT---- from ----their ----EXCITEMENT---- and -----DELIGHTMENT----and----FALL
One --of --HIS--HIT--SONGS
he came off the tail gate of his truck, and sat right next to,a young girl,--and she blushed as he put his arm around her and serenaded her --and sang --ALONG
Really to me
i never heard of him before or came to see
But --he --is --an --up --and --coming-- great --country --artist
and --i --was --really --honored--and--happy --to --be--able--to--come --here --and --his --CONCERT-- on --the --farm --see--and--be--priveledeged--to--be--a--part--of--THIS
I shook his hand, and got a photo with --him
i told him about my site here at poetry poem, and i have close to-- three -thousand --POEMS- of -my -OWN--but -have-not- been --DISCOVERED-- and-- well --known, --so --i --thought-- to --myself-- i --had --hoped --his --FAVOR--that-- i --could --WIN
I told him when the writing bug really hit me in --1994
My original writings came to me as country ballads as my original song--IM-A-FAMILY-MAN--, and -WHEN-MY-GRAND-PA-CRIED--and-the--BEAUTY-OF-NATURE, and i told him a few--MORE
Actually his assistant in his band, i was talking to them both, as i told them i am always writing, and on the plane sixteen short writes i --MADE
and i just told them -who- i -am, -and -i -will- be -WRITING- until -the- last--BREATH-- of -AIR--until --im-- laid --in --the ---GRAVE
I -told -him- i -wrote- even- FOUR- little- writes- on -the-BUS- ride- to -the-- FARM
and -i -just -shook CHASEs-hand- and- grabbed-- his --ARM
So --i --tried --to --even --sing --a --little --VERSE --of-- my --song,
but --my --voice --was ---NERVOUS--and--SQUEAKY--and --i--SAID--im--JUST-- too --NERVOUS--and--MY--VERY--OWN--ORIGINAL--SONG--way--back--in--1994--I--GOT-- IT--------ALL--WRONG
I --------THOUGHT-------- to --------MYSELF
that --i --have --waited --all --of --my --life,-- living --and --love --for --this --MOMENT-- in --TIME--, to --get --RECOGNIZED--APPRECiATED--and--DISCOVERED--FAMOUS--and --HAVE--SUCCESS-- and-- HAPPINESS------ and ------GREAT----WEALTH
I ----didnt--- sleep ---hardly--- at ----all ---LAST--NIGHT
i --felt --disappointed-- and ---just --let --down, --as --things-- just --DIDNT-- go --for --me- as -i -DREAMED-- and-- PERFECTLY-- EXACTLY-- famously--, DISCOVERED, --and --RIGHT
But now this mornin after seeing-- Dirks bently
im feeling much happier and-- care-- free
I told myself, that---MYSELF
that even without being DISCOVERED, FAMOUS, RICH, and LOVED by ALL, that as i know and understand, that my HEALTH, is my--WEALTH
I --thought --to --myself --no --matter-- what --i --had --earned, --and --MADE
i --will-- give --all --that --i --own,-- and --all --of --my --PAY
I --think --of --Mother --Theresa, --how --she --gave --all --she --had --and --MORE--to--the--sickest--of--the--sick--the--homeless--and--dying--and--POOREST--of--the--POOR
and --how --in -HER-- LIFE--, LIVING--and --LOVE,-- now --so --long-- after --SHE--has --PASSED--the --WORLD--as--A--SAINT--------Mother-theresa--HER------ will -------------FOREVER---------FAMOUSLY-------LOVINGLY-------REMEMBER-----her-life, living, and -LOVE--and--HER---ADORE
So -as -this -is -a ---LESSON ---for -our -life -living -and---------- LOVE
as -not-to -WORRY-- -about --IMPRESSING-- any --other--, but-- to ----LOVE-- HONOR-- and-- RESPECT-- ALL----OTHERS-- and --WORRY-- and --BE--CONCERNED--- about---- FIRSTLY, most--IMPORTANTLY--IMPRESSING--at--YOU--BEST--MENTALLY--PHYSICALLY--and--SPIRITUALLY-- our --GOD,-- In --the --HOLY--HEAVENS----- ABOVE
