THE CONSEQUENCE
Where the torn eyelash flutters
comes a vision of want and resolve
of an encroaching cloaked stranger
A man of her ancient wanting and dreams
his words written bring an orchestra
that lull and press the tempting heart
His depth pulls at her heart strings
where his regal words lend unsung images
that caress her coil and move her soul
A tender valley of indulging notes
arch her `neath a shimmering chandelier
she surrenders with fragility's grace
For what is death of a untouched life
but treason without a body of love
and its ache of such amorous wanders
Will they escape the chambers of knowing not
of what each will tragically crave
but when their fingers brush the flesh
The lust and longing of the fall
and the collision of touch or curse
or the pull of a warming consequential kiss
Where the glistening embers of passion
encase them inside an arc of amber light
just they lay melting `neath a blood red moon
Where an organic thought plunges forward
inside a tethered showering essence
framed within transparent mercy's
Come one starlit eve of journeys wait
footfalls from a distant gentleman
shall make way to stand at her flowing gown
Dismantling and breaking their harness
that keep them shackled from the thralls
of their swollen breast of forevermore
