The Backyard Of My Life

Just Cant Win

I cant do right from doing wrong
Patience is a virtue
But it takes too long
I got good intentions with a heart full of pain
You must give something up for everything you gain
Walked a million miles no room at the inn
However hard i try i just cant win

If i offer to help i make things worst
Better stay away looks like am cursed
Here comes the rain just my luck
Frozen like a statue now am stuck
Take it like a man take it on the chin
No matter what i do i just cant win

Just cant win i have tried
A thousand things to keep you satisfied
Just cant win its no good
Nothing seems to work the way it should

I've had enough of critics judging me
People only see what they want to see
Its all too much for me to take
A no smoking sign on my cigarette break
Sometimes i wish i could shed my skin
Wont make no difference i just cant win

Its as long as it is wide
A never ending battle no place to hide
They say the truth shall set you free
But it only seems to bring more misery
I've never committed no ugly sin
For some strange reason i just cant win
Give it my all but i just cant win
