FROLICKING
Between the prickly thorns
and the emerald foliage
The creatures scamper
leaving behind their footprints
As with life
he leaves his trace
upon her silk decollate
She moves her fingers softly
across her milky white flesh
as if
it were him
Touching her gently
Tender resemblance
and then
she open's her eyes
Starry eyes
that look
of a close encounter
A seamless landscape
of a man and woman
Their first wet kiss
She then resumes
to her work at hand
struggling to arrange
her lovely bouquet
flowers from her garden
Sprigs of sage and lavender
twigs and stems
birds of paradise
Tiny tea roses and baby's breath
and an empty vase
She sits in a lotus position
upon an elaborate Persian rug
assembling colors of blush pink
and an array of greenery and sunset orange
Her thoughts retrace
for just another moment...
Remembering that paper moon
and the origami crane
that they faceted with their hands
Together
once upon a time
With a blink of her blue eyes
...a lasting revisit of when
they stenciled word art
He wrote her poetry and love letters
...as she always obliged
frolicking
