REMEMBRANCE DAY
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
Though Remembrance Day is over and gone
Our memories of loved ones will always live on,
Soldiers lost their lives to fight for our freedom
Heroes are what those soldiers have become.
My Grandson is a cub and he is 9 years old
They would march in the parade they were told,
I felt proud that he was part of this sombre day
Helping him realize war has a price to pay.
My Son at 13 was an army cadet
The job they gave him with pride he met
He was to lay the wreath to honour the dead
He did them proud it has to be said.
Lest We Forget
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
