It was a test of choice and champion
for none the weak of spirit or flesh
or for those without great compassion

The stones fell tragic and wounded
as whips of injustice kept at speed
and the scars ran deep and memorable

As the cracks fell wide upon footfalls
the heart grew stronger by experience
as beside a higher learning with God

Without that grand book of knowledge
where secrets lay hidden in plain sight
amongst the fabric of a humans design

An avenue of marked roads and paths
where their fate and destiny conclude
so shall they travel lonesome in pairs

Describing the trials and tribulations
of a man and woman's walk upon earth
as an established ancestor inscribed

This shall be a thoughtful observation
of myself and into the companion theory
or the evolution of a mans bare essentials

Penned by a woman whom has seen much
into the realm of this miracle of life
and what is left but to sigh at release
